The Next Gunter Wayan Novel

For those of you who’ve asked when I will get Wayan, Eka, and Persik in trouble again, I’m happy to report that I’ve put together a tentative storyline and have begun researching the various venues associated with it. Without giving away too much, I recently attended Art Basel, an international art fair staged annually in Basel, Switzerland, Miami Beach, and Hong Kong, intending to use this as one of the places the trio will end up going. As my knowledge of art is similar to my skill in neurosurgery, I was lucky enough to speak with exhibitors at the fair who provided an insight into the works of the artists on display and the proclivities of collectors and art enthusiasts who attend. One of those who was kind enough to help was Alina van Ryzin of the David Castillo Gallery, a lovely lady who showed me the fantastic works of Vaughn Spann. My thanks to her and the gallery for the time and kindness extended to this art neophyte.

As mentioned in a previous blog, my next novel will be a Matt Moretti-Han Li thriller, The Archangel, which should be completed and sent to my publisher in January. That will be followed by another Mauro Bruno novel, The Puppeteer, whose manuscript is targeted for completion by the fall of 2024. Subsequently, expect the Gunter Wayan novel to reach Amazon and Barnes & Noble around mid-2025.

I know it sounds wild researching a novel a year before I begin writing the manuscript, but I start thinking about its storyline that far in advance, putting together the twists and turns on which I want to take the reader and the venues I’ll need to make that happen and hopefully produce an ending that’s unpredictable and satisfying.
